Coastguard Revetment
We were contracted by the Coastal Partners to undertake a series of repairs to the timber revetment at Hayling Island seafront. Our scope of works included the supply and install of 100 no 230 x 75mm tropical hardwood planks in 4m lengths to the face of the revetment to prevent future shingle loss, raking bearer repairs, king pile repairs, king pile banding to prevent future splitting and the installation of a navigation groyne marker.
Works took place over a period of 4 weeks and were planned according to tidal movements and available daylight. Strict environmental considerations were adhered to due to the sensitive location on the shoreline.
Works were successfully completed on time and within budget.
