Winchester Station Forecourt

Contracted by South Western Railway, we undertook the principal contractor role for the redevelopment of Winchester Station forecourt. The primary focus around the works was that there was a series of protected trees in the station forecourt that were causing health and safety trip hazards to the paved area as a result of tree root growth.

The scope of works included the safe establishment of works and welfare compounds to allow the continued public access to the station building, phased removal of defected paving slabs, phased installation of flexible surfacing and landscaping, installation of bow top fencing, installation of new cycle parking, masonry repairs and installation of safety bollards. Work was delivered in March 2025 In line with the client’s programme.
