Phase 4 - Contaminated Ground Removal

Contracted by Whitehill and Bordon Regeneration Company, Avon Construction acted as principal contractor for the removal of contaminated ground (Hazardous and Non-Hazardous) in advance of land sale to a housing developer in Bordon, Hampshire. We were tasked with undertaking a series of Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC) testing on the identified areas, and subsequent off-site disposal of over 4000t of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous waste.

A key element of the works was to ensure proper safe working practices were implemented when working with hazardous materials. This included appropriate task specific PPE, dust control measures and thorough segregation and stockpiling of contaminated materials.

Works were delivered on time to our clients programme to allow a successful land sale to be completed.
