Cornwood Road, Ivybridge

Avon Construction have recently completed the road improvement works  on Cornwood Road in Plymouth.

Avon were contracted by Walk Wheel Cycle Trust to (Formerly known as Sustrans) to carry out footpath and road improvements as part of the National Cycle Network NCN 02.

The works were carried out under a full road closure from Devon County Council, whilst maintaining access for residents, cyclists and pedestrians.

The work included new street lights and belisha beacons; new kerbs and tactile paving; a raised roadway table a and a new zebra crossing;  tarmacadam surfacing ot the road and footpaths; high friction surfacing; line marking and signage.

Works were completed in October 2025.
