Marsh Mills Cycle Path
Working as principal contractor, Avon Construction were contracted by Sustrans to refurbish two well used dust paths into accessible cycle paths as part of the Highways England Small Scheme Delivery.
The contract included the construction of a 1500m long, 3.0m wide tarmac path with concrete edgings, drainage works including catch pits, French drains, stormwater drainage and ditches, the construction of a 30m x 0.5m high Kingpost wall to retain embankments along with new fencing and seating.
The project was delivered safely and on budget, however the final surfacing work was delayed from March 2020 to June 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions.
