Installation of new trash screen and safe access for maintenance

This was the final and most technically challenging of a series of trash screen projects. We were required to upgrade the existing trash screen to enable the Environment Agency operation’s team to gain full and safe access to clear the grill, thereby reducing the risk of flooding to the boat yard and surrounding population. The site is an SSSI, and the structure was to be constructed in a tidal overflow lagoon.
